Artist Residency at KIRA, May 2026

I took part in a creative residency for the second time from 8 to 29 May 2026 at KIRA (Kingsbrae International Residency for the Arts), located in Saint Andrews, New Brunswick.

I have nothing but praise for my exceptional stay at KIRA (Kinsbrae International Residency for the Arts). From the moment I arrived right through to the morning of my departure, my hosts gave me an outstanding welcome, with delicious food, excellent accommodation and great friendship. Throughout my stay, I felt as though I were part of the family. The respect shown to me by the staff, the other artists, the public during the two ‘Open Studio’ Saturdays, and particularly by Mrs Flemer, the owner of the premises, was profound and extremely positive. My studio on the ground floor provided me with an incredible space, allowing me to work in a calm and serene atmosphere, enabling me to focus fully on my practice. My room, located on the second floor of the villa, offered me a breathtaking view of the water, Minister’s Island and Hospitality Island. The Kingsbrae garden was just a few steps away, and I had unlimited access to it. It provided me with boundless inspiration, and I went there every day to sketch five new works, some of which still need to be developed into their final versions on larger-format paper. All in all, a truly fantastic and unforgettable experience.
