Over the years, Despina Tunder, curator at World Wide Art / Artavita, reviewed thousands of artists and their works. Every now and then she encounters an artist whose work stays with her long after she closed the portfolio. The imagery, the ideas, the emotion, the craftmanship, or simply the artist’s unique way of seeing the world compels her to look deeper, and she offers the artist a thoughtful and independent review based on a careful study of the artist’s body of work. Her objective is to write the kind of essay that helps other understand the work on a deeper level while also helping the artist see their own practice through fresh eyes.
